Diversos Afins
Established in June 2006, Diversos Afins* cultural magazine came to light with the main goal of publishing the many expressions hovering around arts and literature. Granting a privilege to authors and contemporary artists, the magazine has made itself an alternative to the editorial market, making it possible for the convergence of multifarious art movements within one only platform.
Fashioned exclusively for digital media, Diversos Afins brings harmonization of texts and images on its main core. In each of its issues, visual artists in general have their work conversating with diverse literary pieces, whether they be poems or short stories.
During the past few years, Diversos Afins editors Fabrício Brandão and Leila Andrade have witnessed a boarder expansion over the internet. The website has grown its writers and readers network, both in and outside Brazil, where there has been a special approach to Spanish and other Portuguese-speaking countries.
Broken into custom sections, the magazine puts forward works on literature, theatre, cinema, music, plastic arts and photography; however, literature is the project’s sweet spot. Thereby, poets and short-story writers submit their pieces, inedited or not, for editors’ appraisal what has helped shaping a list with hundreds of allies over the years.
Issued monthly, Diversos Afins has achieved one of its greatest intentions: broaden access to cultural accomplishments, strengthening the ties between creators and readers. In the mean time, publishes authors that support new literary and artistic pathways, laying down an independent and differentiated editorial line.
